High Efficiency Oil & Gas Heaters

Increasing prices of petroleum has pushed Isotex to develop the third generation (German design) thermal oil heater one step further for enhancing efficiency, the result is the new Unitherm with LUVO Heat recovery system , first of its kind, having the highest efficiency ever offered at 94% over 7% more efficient than other similar heaters. For a one million kcal/hour boiler even with a light load this would mean fuel savings of around 8,000 USD per year.

The LUVO-System with MACH CFD Tubes improves the thermal degree of efficiency of the process heating system. The energy of the exhaust gases heats up the combustion air temperature. The heat exchanger transfers the energy contained in the flue gas to the combustion air. Energy recovered in this way is proportional to the fuel savings. The amount of the recovered energy percentage depends on the fuel used by the combustion, the temperature of the exhaust gases, and regulations for NOx-emissions.

The advantages of high combustion efficiency and controlled combustion of a world-class dual-block burner, a special design LUVO heat recovery with MACH CFD tubes, an enhanced insulation have been used to achieve this high efficiency. The basic DNA of the design continues to be the same third generation heater, offering several advantages over other heater designs in operation and maintenance. The key advantage of this design is an oil cooled flue reversal chamber (wet-back) instead of refractory resulting in an increased heat-transfer area in same dimensions and a total absence of radiation losses through refractory. Further, the front door swivels on hinges for easy opening during maintenance and cleaning.

The variable geometric combustion head of the burner enhances combustion efficiency and consequently fuel economy even when operating at part loads. An additional option is exhaust gas analysis feed-back, which further enhances control of emissions and fuel economy. Full electronic boiler management is available on request.

The Unitherm is available in capacities as low as 400,000 kcal per hour up to 15,0000,000 kcal per hour maximum continuous rating firing fuels are heavy oil, light oil, natural gas, LPG and efficiency of 94 +/- 2% on the NCV.

The Unitherm's high efficiency of 94% leads to a substantial decrease in the fuel consumption and fuel cost when compared against other Thermic Fluid Heaters in its class. The pay-back period on switch-over from 5 year old thermopac operating at 82% efficiency to the new Unitherm TK-E AH can be as low as 1 month.
